Job Requirements
* Web & application server administration
* Experience with perlbal, nginx, lighttpd or other web servers and managing Tomcat and/or Jetty
* Application monitoring, tuning and benchmarking (httperf, Jmeter, other perf tools)
* Unix administration, monitoring and management experience
* Practical work experience with EC2 or other cloud environments
* Software release planning & management
* Interface with product management on release scheduling and execution
* Configuration & dependency management using puppet, maven, capistrano or other tools
* Deployment rollback planning
* mySQL configuration & administration
* Replication
* Backup and recovery planning
The position is based in NYC and the position reports to the Director of Engineering who is based in Beirut. The position will also work closely with the system admin and development teams based in Beirut.
