Job Requirements
Required Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Preferred: Masters of Science Electrical Engineering.
Experience Desired:
4-8 years experience in analog and digital design and product development.
Advanced to Expert level digital and analog design skills.
PIC microcontroller and EPROM (erasable programmable read only memory) design application experience.
Proficiency with electrical design software tools ( such as: Orcad schematic capture and PCB layout)
Experience with advanced simulation tools such as Matlab or Simulink, for hardware simulation and analysis.
Knowledge of printed circuit board fabrication and circuit card assembly processes.
Ability to use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
Ability to write engineering documents, test protocols, laboratory notebook entries and reports.
Experience with Signal Conditioning, Active Filters, Electrical Isolation.
Strong EMI (Electromagnetic interference) and EMC (Electromagnetic compatibility) design experience
Ability to breadboard, test and debug prototype electronics and software based systems.
Ability to perform component engineering design changes.
Plan, write, and execute comprehensive verification plans.
Generate board and subsystem requirement documents.
Experience in the design of motion control devices and/or motor interface electronics
Demonstrated history of successfully completed products or projects
C & C++ programming development experience
Other Desired Skills include:
Experience in medical device product design and development and FDA regulatory standards
Experience with Telelogic Document Control/Bug Tracking
LCD and visual interface system and component design
Primary and secondary battery system and charger design experience
Design and simulation of H-Bridge microelectronic DC motor drive circuits.
PWM control techniques.
Sensor, switch and controls interface component application and design experience.
