Qualifications/Skills Required

1) Ph.D. in Food Science or Food/Chemical Engineering (Cereal Chemistry background and MBA preferred)
2) 15+ years of food/food ingredient industry experience (fiber foods preferred)
3) Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 2 years in QC/QA management
4) Experience in generating and testing hypotheses as well as evaluating new product/market ideas
5) In-depth knowledge of food product and technology development, strategic/analytic methods and processing technology
6) Technical knowledge of quality systems, food safety and environmental management in food processing
7) Understanding of QA and safety processes such as HAACP, regulatory audits, SOP, food safety audits, etc. as well as federal regulations and government agencies (FDA, USDA)
8) Familiarity of industry networks, with core and allied technology and technical systems
9) Strong management experience with organizational and administrative skills
10) Strategic thinker with superior interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
11) Creative thinker with an open mind to learn and explore new areas and opportunities
