One of my best client companies, a multi-billion dollar International manufacturer of medical device technologies, has an opening for a QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER at its brand new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, located in rural Upstate New York (Southern Tier, just North of the Northern Pennsylvania border). Reports directly to the Director of Corporate Quality. Will manage the facility’s entire Quality Assurance Department and be its resident expert in FDA Quality System Regulations, Medical Device Directive (MDD), Canadian Medical Device Regulation (CMDR), ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards. Job Requirements:
1. Must have at least 7 years of Quality Assurance experience within the medical device or PHARMACEUTICAL products industries. Will not consider anyone from another industry. Must have significant experience working within an FDA / cGMP regulated manufacturing environment in order to be considered for the job.
2. Must have at least 5 years of experience as a manager / supervisor – demonstrated people management skills.
3. Must have at least a BS in an Engineering discipline; a MS is a big plus. Quality Methods / Statistical Techniques training preferred.
4. Must have a strong background in compliance and the ability to design and develop new gauging methods / tools.
5. Must have experience developing cost savings initiatives.
